GRE TEST PREPARATION
The Graduate Record Examination, more popularly known as GRE, is a standardized test administered for students who are interested in pursuing Masters (MS) or Ph.D. programs in such specialized fields as Engineering, Economics, Computer Science, Architecture etc. This 4 hour long test is a section adaptive Multi-Stage Test (MST) that mainly measures a candidate’s Mathematical and English aptitude. The test starts with the essay writing section (AWA) where students are required to write two separate essays in a span of 30 minutes each.
There are two Quant sections, each having 20 questions that need to be answered in 35 minutes. There are three major question types on the Quant Section: Multiple choice, Quantitative Comparisons and Numeric Entry. An onscreen calculator is provided to do calculations.
There are two Verbal Sections, each consisting of 20 questions that need to be answered in 30 minutes. The verbal questions primarily comprise Vocabulary fill in the blanks and Reading Comprehensions.
